Installation or replacement

For fitting your first system, cooling more rooms or replacing an old unit.

We’ll look at your space, your needs and your budget. New installations and replacements start with a free survey.

Servicing

For cleaning and checking an existing system to help keep it working well.

If it’s leaking, making unusual noises or not cooling properly, mention that when you get in touch so we can discuss whether it needs a repair.

Repairs

For air con that isn’t cooling, is leaking, making unusual noises or showing a fault.

A problem doesn’t always mean you need a new unit. The first step is to find out what’s wrong.

Richard, The British AC Guy, seated in a black cap and black top against a white studio background

Hi, I’m Richard. The British AC Guy.

I moved to Spain from Wales as a boy, around 25 years ago. Now my children are growing up here too. The Costa del Sol is home.

I know what it’s like to struggle to sleep in a hot bedroom or sit in a cold house in winter. That’s why I start with what you need to feel comfortable.

When you get in touch, you speak directly with me. I’ll listen, explain your options in plain English and discuss the costs before you decide.

Which system could suit your space?

The right choice depends on your rooms, layout, outdoor space and budget. These are the main options we can discuss during a survey.

Living room with a white wall-mounted single split air conditioning unit fitted high on the wall

Single split

May suit:
One room, such as a bedroom, living room or small office.
Main benefit:
One indoor unit connects to one outdoor unit. A straightforward option for one space.
Trade-off:
Cooling several rooms with separate single splits means finding space for several outdoor units.

Mitsubishi Electric multi-split outdoor unit installed on an apartment balcony with sea-view hills behind

Multi-split

May suit:
Several rooms where outdoor space is limited.
Main benefit:
Several indoor units connect to one outdoor unit.
Trade-off:
The rooms share one outdoor unit, and pipe routes can add to the installation cost.
Price guide:
Allow around 20% more than separate single splits serving the same rooms. The difference depends on the equipment, pipe routes and access. I’ll explain both options and their costs before you decide.

Open-plan living room and kitchen with discreet ducted air conditioning grilles in the ceiling

Ducted

May suit:
Homes or businesses with suitable ceiling space for ducts.
Main benefit:
Discreet cooling through ceiling grilles, with less equipment visible in each room.
Trade-off:
It needs space for the unit and ducts and may involve more building work.

White four-way ceiling cassette air conditioning unit fitted into a suspended tiled ceiling

Ceiling cassette

May suit:
Larger open rooms with a suitable false ceiling.
Main benefit:
Distributes air from the ceiling across the space.
Trade-off:
It needs enough space above the ceiling for installation and future maintenance.

What will it cost?

“Can I get something suitable within my budget?”

We’ll talk about that from the start. The price depends on the equipment and the work your property needs.

  • RoomsThe number and size of the rooms you want to cool or heat.
  • EquipmentThe system type and units chosen.
  • Pipe routes and accessHow far the pipework needs to run and how the equipment can be reached.
  • Extra workAny electrical, drainage or building work needed.

For a new installation or replacement, a free survey helps establish what’s needed so you can review a clear quote before agreeing to the work.

Book a free installation survey

Getting started is simple.

  1. Tell me what you need.

Send your location and a few details on WhatsApp. Photos or a short video can help.

  2. Arrange the next step.

For a new installation or replacement, we’ll arrange a free survey. For servicing or a fault, we’ll discuss the visit needed and any charges.

  3. Decide before work starts.

Review the proposed work and costs, ask questions and agree on the next step.

Free installation surveys cover new systems and replacements. Fault-finding visits are separate and may carry a charge.

More control over the rooms you use.

With a suitable system, Airzone can give you separate temperature control in different rooms.

I can help check compatibility and explain whether it suits your home or business.

About Airzone

Comfortable in winter too.

Many heat pump air conditioning systems provide heating as well as cooling.

If your home or business feels cold in winter, we can look at whether your existing system can help or discuss suitable options for a new one.

A few questions you might have.

Which air conditioning system suits my property?

That depends on the rooms, layout, outdoor space and budget. A free installation survey lets us look at suitable options and discuss their benefits and trade-offs.

Can you replace an existing unit?

Yes. We’ll look at the existing system and what is needed for its replacement during the survey.

Is the installation survey free?

Yes, for new installations and replacements. Servicing and fault-finding visits are separate, and any charges will be discussed when arranging the visit.

Can you work with my budget?

We’ll discuss your budget from the start and look at suitable options. If you already have a system, a service or repair may be enough. If replacement is needed, I’ll explain the choices and costs before you decide.

Can I book a service for my existing system?

Yes. Send me your location and details of the system. Mention any faults so we can discuss whether you need servicing or a repair visit.

My AC isn’t cooling. Does it need replacing?

Not necessarily. The first step is to find out what’s wrong. I’ll explain the findings and options before you decide on further work.

Do you work on ducted and cassette systems?

Yes. Send photos of the system and any details about access so we can discuss the next step.

Can my air conditioning heat my property?

Many heat pump systems provide heating too. Send the make and model, or a photo of the unit, if you’re unsure about yours.

Will Airzone work with my system?

Compatibility depends on the system. Send its details so we can check before discussing installation.
